Newborn babies and care proceedings bulletin 13 – Supporting parents with learning disabilities or difficulties who are involved in care proceedings with their babies

This issue returned to parents with learning disabilities or learning difficulties whose babies are the subject of care proceedings, to coincide with the publication of a Nuffield Family Justice Observatory Spotlight paper that brought together key messages from recent studies on this topic. It also highlighted the wide range of free resources, information, advice and support available from the Working Together with Parents Network (WTPN), covered examples of good practice, and looked at the role of intermediaries.

Newborn babies and care proceedings was a bulletin for professionals involved in safeguarding babies at or close to birth that provided links to a range of resources to assist them in this complex area of work.
