About the report

Practitioners working in the family justice system make difficult decisions everyday about the lives of children. Not only are the facts of each and every case often subject to disagreement but the broader substantive issues of family justice are sometimes hotly contested. This paper sets out the work of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC – an organization with a growing international membership) to establish mechanisms for working through contested issues in family law.
