Independant Consultant - NFJO Development Team

Mary Ryan is an independent consultant with expertise in public law, social work and social policy, whose work includes policy development, research and evaluation and project management. She is a lawyer who, when in practice, specialised in public law relating to children and families. She was the legal advisor of Family Rights Group and then its joint chief executive (1982-96) and since then she has worked as an independent consultant and researcher as part of RyanTunnardBrown http://www.ryantunnardbrown.com. She is an associate of Research in Practice.  Recent work has included research into the Family Drug and Alcohol Court together with developmental work in relation to the roll out of FDAC, The Care Crisis Review, and the Research in Practice Recurrent Care Change Project.

The Nuffield Family Justice Observatory is being developed by the Nuffield Foundation working in partnership with a development team led by Professor Karen Broadhurst from The Centre for Child and Family Justice Research at Lancaster University
