Appointment of Beverley Barnett-Jones as Associate Director for Practice and Impact

The Nuffield Family Justice Observatory is delighted to announce that Beverley Barnett-Jones has joined us as our new Associate Director for Practice and Impact.

Beverley was previously on the frontline of children’s social care for 30 years. She was a Children’s Guardian with CAFCASS, and worked on national policy initiatives on diversity and culturally competent practice. As service manager for Coventry City Council children’s department, she developed and managed an innovative court-based assessment and support service.

Beverley also project and later service-managed the Coventry Family Drug and Alcohol Courts. Prior to joining the Nuffield FJO, she worked for Walsall Council on their ambitious children’s transformation programme WR4C, where she led on the development of the family time therapeutic model, its community-based adolescent support hub and the Black Country FDAC tri-borough collaboration. She received an MBE in June 2018 for her work with children and families.

“Beverley brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her work as a practitioner, which will be a huge asset to our work in improving the lives of children and families in the family justice system. We’re delighted that she has joined our team.”
